Meet Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys was born and raised in Walhalla, South Carolina, at the foot of the Blue Ridge. Her childhood was spent on these lakes with a boating family and her autumns cheering on the Clemson Tigers. Long before this was her market, it was simply where she was from.

That matters more on Lake Keowee than it does almost anywhere else. This is a Duke Energy reservoir, so water levels move with power generation and drought, and a dock that sits in deep water year round is worth meaningfully more than one that goes dry in a low-water August. Dock permits run through Duke Energy rather than the county, and they do not transfer automatically on a lot that has never been docked. Knowing which coves hold water, and which lots will never get a permit, is the kind of thing you learn from a lifetime here rather than from a listing sheet.

Alicia built her business the Southern way: one handshake, one referral, one happy family at a time. Today she lives on the very lake she sells, which is a perspective no out-of-town agent can offer.
